QMT Maritime Training Schools' Approach

Like other maritime training schools, Quality Maritime Training (QMT), LLC, offers U.S. Coast Guard approved and STCW training courses and programs. Unlike other schools, we provide our students the guidance and education they need to become skilled, proficient and safe mariners - this is where QMT truly excels.

We equip you not just with the certification you need to complete the STCW OICNW modules or OUPV Captains License, but the solid foundation of knowledge necessary to advance your career further in the long run. No amount of training or coursework is good enough if all that time and money you've invested doesn't result in the Coast Guard Captain License you sought, or you completed training that isn't necessary or desired.

Many schools offering tankerman training or other courses do an excellent job of marketing and selling themselves, but not necessarily such a great job of delivering knowledge to you. Rest assured that every course you take at Quality Maritime Training - from Bridge Resource Management to Master/Mate 500/1600 Tons or Third Mate Any Gross Tons courses - is backed by the years of training and experience of its instructors.

We ask only three things of our students while they are in training:

  1. Maintain a positive mental attitude;
  2. Don't give up;
  3. Follow our instructions.

If you do that, success is all but assured. And, after all, we succeed when you do!

Take a tour of our site to learn more about individual courses, and call us for information about what courses you need to set sail on your desired career path.
